Studio d'artisan sd-d01 :15 years & still living. Bought this brand new back in the mid 90's, this indigo pig has been a best bud ever since. We survived Backroom & Movement days, we skated all over town. Good times, good times.

I don't know much about this bike other than it is very nicely built. From the Panasonic history website, Panasonic organized a Panasonic/Shimano team in the US in 1979. I really like the fastback seatlug treatment, but I could see problems with over tightening of the seatbolt with it threading into the other seatstay. The fork has beefy round fork blades and even the seatstays are rather large.

Surely the fad for fixed gear is coming to an end... The current mania for fixed-wheel bikes has provided some heartwarming sights - the sweetest being Pete Doherty look-a-likees pushing their Bianchi Pistas up any hill with an incline worse than 1 in 25. But that arbiter of bike fashion, the courier, must surely be seething every time some whey-faced child in skinny jeans pulls up at the lights and winks over his nu-rave sunglasses at him because, hey look, we're both ridin' fixed, mate!

So, when the fixed fad passes what will the cool kids be riding in a year or two?

The problem is, the fixie is a bit of an evolutionary dead end in terms of bikes - it's a minimal set-up, and if you start stripping anything else off it, it becomes.. a unicycle.

Last weekend was such a blast. Had Friday mash with Massa & Rats, which happened to be Lydia's first ride & mash. She managed to pedal up from KLCC all the way to Bangsar & back to city. It was raining the whole day on Saturday so zzzz lah & on Sunday, pedal sorang2 till early evening & met up with some Rats, pedal lagi.

The result : tangan kanan lenguh & seems rather weak. Unfortunately didn't bring any cam on Friday but brought 'em on Sunday.

It's a new new new thang this month....why?

1. I've landed a new job in this company. I'm not in the outlet tho, just a 'kuli' in the office.
